Buying a trailer is an investment, and Cargo Express trailers come with warranty coverage to give you peace of mind. Here’s a simple breakdown of what the Limited Warranty includes and what it does not.

How Long Am I Covered?

  • 5-Year Warranty: Pro Series®, CXT, Moab, Pro GT models (steel-framed). Covers the main frame structure and components: rails, crossmembers, posts, roof bows, tongue, A-frame, coupler, door frame, headers, and welds.

  • 3-Year Warranty: EX, XL Series, Landscaper, and AX models (steel-framed). Covers the same frame and structural parts listed above.

  • 1-Year Warranty: Covers other trailer parts such as windows, doors, flooring, trim, electrical, plumbing, cabinets, lights, sealants, paint, and undercoating, no matter the model.

Who is Covered?

  • Only the original buyer is covered.

  • The warranty cannot be transferred if the trailer is sold.

  • Rental trailers are not covered.

How to Keep Your Warranty Active

  • You must return the warranty card or register online within 30 days of purchase.

  • Failure to do this makes your warranty void.

Making a Claim

If you find a defect:

  1. Contact the dealer where you purchased the trailer.

  2. The dealer will verify ownership and file the claim with the manufacturer.

  3. Repairs must be pre-approved by the manufacturer and done by them or an authorized service center.

  4. Transportation costs (getting your trailer to/from the dealer) are your responsibility.

What’s Not Covered

Some things are outside warranty coverage, including:

  • Normal wear and tear, corrosion, road salt damage.

  • Misuse, accidents, overloading, or poor maintenance.

  • Parts not made by the manufacturer (axles, brakes, tires, lights, hoists, A/C, etc.) — these may be covered by their own suppliers.

  • Roof damage from snow/ice buildup.

  • Alterations, aftermarket add-ons, or towing with the wrong size truck.

  • Cosmetic issues with blackout packages or “screwless” side panels (you’ll get screws to fix loose panels yourself).

Key Things to Remember

  • The warranty only covers defects in materials or workmanship, not inconvenience or incidental costs like towing, downtime, or lost income.

  • Manufacturer’s responsibility is limited to repairing or replacing defective parts.

Bottom Line

Cargo Express trailers are built to last, and the warranty is there to back that up. Register your trailer right away, follow normal maintenance, and contact your dealer if you need repairs. This way, you can enjoy the road ahead with confidence.
